The Faye has a good design, the heatsink is painted in a standard matte black finish and features chromed inserts. Speaking of which, the highlight of this RAM kit in terms of the design are a pair of wing-like lines placed on both sides of the heatsink.
The “wings” are not painted on, but rather glued onto the heatsink. They have a highly reflective texture and create a good contrast with the matte black finish of the rest of the ram stick.
The model number of this kit is: NMUD416E82-3600DG20.
The design of the Faye is good and simple when compared to what other manufacturers are releasing lately. The matte black finish of the heatsinks is done well, with no blemishes in the paint. The Neo Forza logo is painted on the center and creates a great contrast to the black paint.
The Faye RAM module has a height of 42.5mm with the heatsink installed. This places the Faye in the middle when it comes to its sizing. It can be categorized as a small form factor RAM kit but it’s no that tall either, it’s right in the middle.
The label which contains the technical information of the RAM module is placed on the upper left corner of the heatsink. This label has the standard black on white design and includes the serial number of the RAM module, the timings, and the frequency.
Removing the heatsink is easy as the heatsinks are tall and their upper part is a great spot to break them part. Each heatsink is attached to the PCB and memory chips by a 3M thermal adhesive strip. As always, for an easier removal, heating the RAM module is recommended, as that will soften the glue.
The Faye 32GB 3600MHz has a double side PCB design; this is done because it is cheaper to have more memory chips which have a smaller individual storage capacity than to have fewer memory chips but with a higher individual storage capacity. Speaking of memory chips, this RAM kit uses Hynix made chips, and these have the serial number: H5AN8G8NR-UHC.
