The KF-1622 kit is packed and delivered in a carrying pouch. This pouch has a textile waterproof surface with a soft synthetic material inside. The filters and the filter adapter are each contained in individual pockets. However, given the size of these pockets, this pouch could hold many more filters and SD Cards.

The kit contains three filters and a single adapter for mounting them on the lenses. The included filters are: 1x CPL filter, 1x ND 1000 Filter and 1x MCUV filter.

The MCUV filter is a multi-coated ultraviolet filter or (MCUV) for short. This filter will protect your lens from ultraviolet rays from the sun. The filter will also prevent that typical blue tint that sometimes appears when you are taking photos or videos on a very sunny day. One key feature of this filter is that this is the only filter included in this kit that has a threaded edge, which means that it can be used without the adapter.

The CPL filter, or circular polarizer/linear filter, will reduce the glare and reflections from surfaces. It sounds complex but it’s very simple, in essence the filter blocks the polarized light and thus, all reflections that are visible. These filters are ideal for usage in both urban settings or near water mass or cars, as those have plenty of reflective surfaces.

The ND or Neutral-density filter, has a simple job, it will reduce the amount of light that hits the camera sensor. This is useful when you want to use a higher F-stop setting but increasing the F-Stop will overexpose the photo, the only solution to this problem is using an ND filter that will cut down the light. The filter included in this kit is a ND 1000 filter that will reduce the light by 10 stops. The ND filters are used mostly for long exposure shots, especially around water or moving objects to create a smooth image.

The adapter used to mount the filters to the front part of the lens is made from solid metal just like the filters. The adapter will screw onto the standard lens thread and has a strong magnetic frontal edge.
