Final thoughts
The Team Group T-Force Vulcan G 1TB is an affordable SATA SSD that does its job with no thrills. From a performance standpoint, the Vulcan G is on the same level with the Crucial BX500, which is great to see as the BX500 has been the best choice for a budget SATA SSD.
The internal build quality is great, with a Silicon Motion four-channel flash controller and Toshiba made 64-layer 3D TLC NAND memory chips.
The main advantage of the T-Force Vulcan G 1TB is the price, at around 80 USD, this SSD is cheap, yet it uses good quality components and has a good performance.
The lack of a DRAM cache will hinder the performance, especially with medium sized file transfers. However, the T-Force Vulcan G 1TB uses TLC memory chips and a large SLC cache that will help with the performance.
In conclusion, the Team Group T-Force Vulcan G 1TB is a good 2.5” SSD that is affordable and has a good performance overall. What makes it a great choice is the price and the offered performance. For a silent PC or a notebook, the Vulcan G will be a good fit, especially the 1TB model, which will work both as the active drive and as a long-term storage solution.
