Introduction
Sea Sonic Electronics Co., Ltd was founded in 1975 with its headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan, it is a company specialized in the manufacturing of power supplies for the consumer & industrial markets. In 1981 the company starts the production of power supplies for PC type of systems, being one of the first manufacturers to do so.
SeaSonic manufactures and sells power supplies under its own brand and is also the OEM manufacturer for many other power supplies companies. This makes Seasonic one of the well-known and respected brands in the industry.

Packaging and accessories
The SGX 650 Gold is packaged in a regular cardboard box. The design of this box is similar with what other Seasonic models are using. The front side features a linear design with the name of the product series and the power supply printed on the center. The efficiency rating of the PSU is placed on the left side with the warranty period on the lower right.
The sides of the packaging have the complete specifications of the power supply. This includes the wattages of the PSU as well as the length of each cable included.
The back side of the box has a general presentation of the main features of the power supply. On the left, there is a graph that explains the efficiency curve of the SGX 650 Gold. The right side presents the functionality of the fan control system used by modern Seasonic power supplies.
The power supply and the included accessories are protected by a soft high density foam tray and plastic bags. This type of internal packaging ensures a good protection against impacts and scratches. The added layer of cardboard in the shape of the box will offer some degree of protection against sharp objects as well.
