Final thoughts
The Neo Forza eSports NFP075 2 TB is a good SSD with only two drawbacks, the small SLC cache and the higher than average temperature. The SLC cache has a size of around 45GB which is not enough, especially for an SSD that has 2TB of storage.
If the file transfer is lower than 45GB then the speed will vary between 1GB/s and 3GB/s, however if the cache is filled, then the speed will drop to under 1GB/s.
Leaving the cache behind, the performance of the NFP075 2 TB is very good across the board. The SSD is trading paint with the top sellers, namely the Sabrent Rocket and the Crucial P5. In every test, the NFP075 2 TB was either close behind the Rocket 1TB or ahead, depending on the test.
The build quality is excellent, as the SSD uses the same components as other more established manufacturers. The Phison PS5012-E12S and the Toshiba made memory chips are a great thing to see, especially on an SSD that aims to be competitive price wise.
In terms of the temperature, there is little to write home about, the drive will sometimes get close to its thermal throttling point, however, you need to push it for that to happen. Even so, the 76°C temperature is not that great.
The Neo Forza NFP075 2TB is available with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty and an endurance rating of 1550 TBW. Based on what components are used on this SSD however, most likely, you will never use the warranty.
In conclusion, the Neo Forza NFP075 2TB is a great M.2 SSD that performs as good as the competition. The main advantage of this SSD is the competitive price and the usage of high-quality components. The only drawbacks of the NFP075 2TB are the small SLC cache and high the operating temperature.
