Visual inspection

The Crucial X6 2TB has a simple design and is nearly identical with the Crucial X8 SSD. The only difference between the two SSD models is the size, the Crucial X6 is almost half the size of the X8. This is due to the fact that the Crucial X6 uses a SATA based SSD inside, while the Crucial X8 has a fully fledged M.2 SSD inside.

The only distinctive design element found on this SSD is the glossy strip found on both sides of the casing. This strip offers a good contrast with the matte finish of the SSD, and features the name of the SSD and the Crucial logo.

The Crucial X6 2TB has only one port for the input and output. This is a USB 3.2 Gen-2 Type-C port which unfortunately, has no protective cover.
