The T-Force Cardea Zero Z440 has a simple design, with a light blue PCB and a matte black label on the front with a glossy white label on the back. The front label is made from copper and graphene and is advertised to offer a better cooling than the usual copper labels.
The design of this graphene label is simple, it has the T-Force logo and the patent numbers. As a contrast, the white glossy label has the technical specifications of the SSD.
The TEAMGROUP T-Force Cardea Zero Z440 has the M.2 2280 form factor, this means that the SSD has a width of 22 mm and a length of 80 mm.
The T-Force Cardea Zero Z440 uses a Phison PS5016-E16 controller. This is an 8-channel controller that supports both TLC & QLC flash memory chips and a minimum capacity of 512GB and a maximum capacity of 2TB.
The DRAM cache used on the T-Force Cardea Zero Z440 is made by SK Hynix and has a total size of 1GB divided into two 512mb DDR4 memory chips. These DRAM chips are running at 2400Mhz and have the model number: H5AN4G8NBJR-UHC.
The flash memory chips are made by Toshiba and are the 96-layer BiCS4 3D TLC NAND type. These are installed on both sides of the PCB and have the model number: TABBG65AWV.
The TEAMGROUP T-Force Cardea Zero Z440 1TB uses the PCIe Gen 4 x4 interface. The SSD is backwards compatible with all M.2 sockets and PCIe platforms.
