Visual inspection
The Ace A55 1TB uses a two-part metallic case and features a hexagonal pattern on the front side. The graphical design present on the SSD is in fact a label, which also has a highly reflective surface. The serial number of the SSD is placed on the lower right corner of the front side, just below a barcode.
The rest of the metal casing of the SSD is simple, with a matte black coating applied on all surfaces.
The Ace A55 1TB uses the SATA 6.0Gb/s interface, for the PC connection.
The disassembly procedure in the case of the Ace A55 1TB is fairly simple. First, a small screw found on the side of the SSD must be removed. Then it is only a matter of separating the two parts of the metal case.
The controller used by the Ace A55 1TB is a Silicon Motion unit, the SM2259XT model. The SM2259XT is known for having a DRAM-less cache, and being capable for reaching sequential read speeds of up to 560 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 520 MB/s.
The SSD uses a single memory flash chip, which is manufactured by Intel and have the 3D NAND flash design. This memory chip has the serial number: 29R08T2AWCTJ1.
