Sandberg Car Jumpstarter TirePump 10000

Testing

Testing the Sandberg Car Jumpstarter TirePump 10.000 is easy as it only has a few main functions.
The jumpstarter functionality is first to be tested and it’s quite easy to figure it out. You just connect the cables to the jumpstarter and then match the negative and positive alligator clips to your battery terminals.

Once the connection is made, a relay inside the box which is installed on the wires, will make a click. Notifying you that the jumpstarter is delivering the current to the battery. This is the entire process, which will jumpstart your car.

The tire compressor functionality is just as easy to test; you select the correct valve stem for your tire (you have multiple variants included in your accessory bundle). Then you thread the air tube into the compressor port and you lock it in place. You connect the valve end to your car’s tire valve stem and lock that into place to not lose pressure.

You press the air pump button on the jumpstarter and with the plus and minus buttons, you select the correct pressure for your tire, once that is done, press the air pump button again and the compressor will start. One thing to be aware with this compressor is that it is loud, so do not be shocked when the noise gets to you.

Final thoughts

The Sandberg Car Jumpstarter TirePump 10000 is a useful and well-made product, it’s not only a jumpstarter but also a capable tire compressor as well. Not only that but it features a built-in power bank to charge any usb device and a normal sized flashlight to help you out in a pinch. However, all this while coming in a small package will cost you some money, at around 150 USD or 130 EUR, this Sandberg unit is not cheap, but it does deliver on all its promises and works well on all fronts.

The jumpstarter function works well on small and big engines as well, with around 4-5 jumpstarts possible if fully charged. The relay present on the box installed on the cable is a high-quality component, as per usual with this Sandberg unit.

In terms of the air pump and air compressor, it will turn a flat tire into a usable wheel in around 3 minutes from 5 psi to the required spec of 35psi (for regular cars). This is a good performance for an air compress of this size, perhaps it can inflate the tire faster if a smaller tire or wheel combination is used but even so, 3 minutes is a good time to wait for your tire to get fixed.
Looking back at this review, I have to admit that I had my doubts about this jumptarter, because it’s small and was promising a lot of features for such a small package. Small jumpstarters I have seen before, the same way I’ve seen small air compressors but not one that has both at the same time. Yet, this Sandberg unit delivers on its promise of doing both at the same time, while also being a power bank and a flashlight.

In conclusion, the Sandberg Car Jumpstarter TirePump 10000 is a good jumpstarter & tire compressor, but it is expensive. However, this unit does its job beautifully, it is well made on all fronts and the internal build quality is good as well. The internal build quality is good, with good soldering across the board and good components used.
