Testing
The following system was used to test the memory kit:
– Processor: Intel i9 9900K @ 5GHz
– Motherboard: ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming X
– Graphics Card: MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Super Gaming X Trio
– SSD: Crucial P2 500GB
– Mass Storage: Neo Forza NFP075 2TB
– PSU: Seasonic Prime TX 1000W Platinum
– CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Master Lite 240
– Case: be quiet! Silent Base 802 White
– OS: Windows 10 64-Bit (After April Update)
The RAM was tested using the CPU at its turbo frequency of 5GHz. The memory was first tested using the standard X.M.P frequency while the second test was done with the memory at the maximum frequency reached while Overclocking. Each test was done a minimum of three times. Keeping the original timings and only increasing the voltage to 1.45v, the GOODRAM IRDM PRO DDR4 DEEP BLACK reached a maximum frequency of 3866MHz.
As always, when overclocking RAM, the best performance gains are achieved by having a good ratio between higher frequency and lower timings.

Final thoughts
The GOODRAM IRDM PRO DDR4 DEEP BLACK is a good RAM kit that performs great and looks good without RGB LEDs. In fact, this is one of the rare RAM kits that do not use RGB LEDs and still manage to match any type of system.
The highlight of the IRDM PRO DDR4 DEEP BLACK is as the name suggests, the different black shades color combination. Not only is this a good approach in making a simple design look good and different, but it lowers the production cost and the end user price.
In terms of the performance, everything is good as the IRDM PRO DDR4 DEEP BLACK delivers on its advertised performance. Not only that, but the overclocking potential is good too, being able to reach 3866Mhz while keeping the factory timings in place.
The build quality is good, with a solid heatsink that has smooth edges and a good coat of paint all around. The difference between the two shades of black is done well, making the graphics visible while keeping the RAM kit subtle.
In conclusion, the GOODRAM IRDM PRO DDR4 DEEP BLACK is a well-built RAM kit that not only performs good but looks good as well. The performance is on the same level as more expensive DDR4 RAM kits while the price is lower, thanks to the lack of RGB and flashy graphics to drive up the price. As always with these RAM kits, the only inconvenient found with this RAM kit is the lack of availability outside the EU region.
