The IceSLEET X6 has a unique design, with a teal color and an angular shaped shroud. The cooler has a single tower design and uses aluminum and nickel-plated copper in its construction. The only plastic components are the front fan and the top shroud.
The dimensions of the cooler are: (H)159mm x (W)146mm x (D)115mm.
The heatsink has a single tower format and an offset design. It also uses aluminum made cooling fins and copper heatpipes and baseplate. The heatsink and heatpipes are shaped to offer a good clearance for the RAM slots.
The total weight of the heatsink with the single 120mm fan installed is 882g.
The IceSLEET X6 has six copper made heatpipes, the top surface is nickel-plated for increased reliability and a better look. Each of the six heatpipes has an outer diameter of 6mm and a smooth outer surface. The classic U shape is used on this cooler as it is proven to be one of the best ways to increase the heat dissipation and transfer.
The endings of the heatpipes are covered by the plastic shroud, and that is good, as these endings are not symmetrical at all.
The baseplate of the IceSLEET X6 has a very smooth surface with a mirror like reflection. The base is manufactured from solid nickel-plated copper, and has the heatpipes making contact at the back.
The heatsink has 49 aluminum cooling fins, each with a thickness of 0.4 mm. The sides of the heatsink are bent downwards to increase the structural rigidity of the heatsink. Each of the aluminum cooling fins is solid and will not bend or scratch easily.
The IceSLEET X6 has a single 120mm fan for its active cooling. This fan has no standalone version, as it is made specifically for the IceSLEET X6 cooler. This means that it will not fit a different heatsink and it can’t be replaced with a different fan.
The IceSLEET X6 fan has a minimum speed of 500RPM and a maximum speed of 1850RPM. Fortunately, the cable of this fan is covered by good quality sleeving and the connector used is a standard 4 Pin PWM.
The mounting system used on this fan is simple, the fan and front shroud are attached to the heatsink with four small plastic tabs.
