ID-Cooling is a company that produces IT components and cooling systems, it was founded by a few veterans from the IT industry. The company was first announced at ComputeX 2013. The Mother company: Shenzhen Wanjinghua Technology Co., Ltd. is a supplier of cooling solutions for many motherboard and graphics cards brands for over 10 years.

Packaging and accessories

The cooler is packaged in a multicolored cardboard box, with a small footprint.
The front side of the packaging presents the cooler using an overview image of it, on the upper side there are placed both the name and logo of the manufacturer while lower there is the model of the cooler. The inferior side is populated by a small list of features of the product.


The side of the packaging presents the features of the cooler in, while two diagrams with the measurements of the cooler are printed.


The backside of the packaging presents the features of the product in 7 different languages.

Visual inspection

The SE-904TWIN cooler uses a dual-tower design, the materials used in its construction are aluminum for the cooling fins, copper for the base and the four heatpipes. The cooler has a cooling capacity of 150W despite its small size, it has a height of just 124mm and a length of 100mm.


The heatsink uses 40 aluminum fins per tower, the fins located at the bottom of the heatsink are modeled for a better compatibility with the RAM modules.


The SE-904TWIN model uses four heatpipes each with a diameter of 6mm; these are bent in a U shape to facilitate heat transfer and dissipation. At the base of the cooler these make direct contact with the surface of the CPU.


The ends of the four headpipes are exposed at the top of the cooler, the ends have a irregular shape.


The base of the cooler is made out of copper and aluminum, it is brushed. The four heatpipes are exposed and make direct contact with the surface of the CPU, thus facilitating the heat transfer and dissipation.


The two fans of the cooler have the dimensions 92x92x25mm. They use a Hydraulic Bearing type mechanism and feature a speed between 600 RPM and 2200 RPM. The fans feature PWM and a 4-pin Molex connector.


The fans of the cooler are illuminated by blue LEDs during the usage of the cooler.

Software used for testing the cooler:
– AIDA64 Extreme Version: 5.92.4300 (06/19/2017)
– Intel Burn Test v2.54
– Prime95 29.1

The cooler was tested with the CPU at the default turbo frequency of 3.9 GHz and overclocked to 4.5 GHz with a core voltage of 1.187 V.
Also, the included fans have been used at their maximum speed.
The room temperature was approximately 26°C (78°F), with 2°C margin of error.
The idle test consists of the CPU sitting idle at the desktop for 30 minutes, the temperature was measured at the end of the test.
The settings of the software used are the following:

Intel Burn Test v2.54 – Stress level: Maximum
Prime95 29.1- small FFT
AIDA64 Extreme Version – Temperature monitoring.
Each test was conducted for 40 minutes.




Full Load


The noise level was measured at three different distances from the fans (10cm, 20cm, 30cm.) the noise was measured with a margin of error of ± 5 db.

Final thoughts

Due to its size, with a height of 124mm, the SE-904TWIN cooler is suitable for mATX and SFF systems, with a good performance in relation to the price. The build quality is good, both for the heatsink and for the fans. The mounting process is relatively easy if the user is attentive to the manual.

The two 92mm included fans are silent for their maximum speed of 2200RPM, they do not exceed 40db. Also, a splitter for power them is included in the package of the cooler.

An inconvenient is the RAM slots being covered by the front fan of the cooler, which requires the use of memories with normal or low-profile radiators. The space between the DIMM slots and the front fan is approximately 34mm.

From a functional point of view, the mounting system is efficient but requires a few modifications, it does not have any flexible mounting elements to evenly distribute the pressure  on the CPU surface. This may be a problem in the case of CPUs that are prone to PCB bending, such as the ones from the Skylake generation.

In conclusion, the SE-904TWIN is a cooler with good performance in relation to its price, being ideal for a small-size system. The mounting system requires modifications in order for the cooler to be used with Skylake based CPUs.
