The basic functions of the earbuds are simple to access, as the Tagry X08 uses a touch to activate system on each earbud. In simple terms, you touch each earbud a number of times for the basic functions like reject or accept call, next & previous songs and so on.
The performance of the Tagry X08 is great, the sound is clear across the range although the bass can get a bit too strong at times and interfere with the mid frequencies.
The voices are clear even when the volume is turned up to almost its maximum. The same can be said for the low frequencies, with no clipping or distortions to be heard.
There is no noise cancelling with these earbuds, whatever noise the ear tips can block is the noise isolation you will get.
When we talk about the microphone, these earbuds use a CVC noise reduction microphone. CVC is short for Clear Voice Capture.
As for the sound quality of the microphone, there is nothing to write home about but it’s good enough to have conversations.
The small LEDs on the bottom part of each earbud are in fact indicators of the pairing status of each earbud. Speaking of pairing the earbuds, these are fully compatible with all smartphones, even older models, as long as you have an active Bluetooth connection the smartphone will link the earbuds together and to it.
The battery life for the earbuds is around 5.5 hours of playtime, even though the advertised time is 6 hours. While the charging time is no less than 1.5 hours which is good enough.
Final thoughts
The Tagry X08 are an interesting pair of Bluetooth earbuds, for starters, they are cheap and well made. However, they do not have any noise cancellation and thus, you cannot use them in loud environments.
The sound quality is good, with all frequencies being clear, although the bass can be a bit too strong and interfere with the mid frequencies at times.
What is good about these earbuds is the easy of usage and especially the ease of connectivity. While having no dedicated app, the Tagry X08 will connect to most if not all smartphones via the Bluetooth connection.
The battery charge is good enough for such a small earbud and carrying case, with around 5.5 hours of constant playtime and around 60 hours of total playtime if you take into account the battery of the carrying case.
Speaking of which, the carrying case can be charged with either a USB Type-C cable or wireless charging. In addition to those features, this case has an LED display that will showcase not only the battery charge of the case itself, but the charge left on each earbud.
In conclusion, if you want a good pair of Bluetooth earbuds that are simple to use, then these Tagry X08 are a good choice. Not only are they well made, but the sound delivered by the 13mm drivers is good enough for daily usage. However, the biggest advantage to these earbuds is the price, at around 50USD, the Tagry X08 are good value for money.
