The SuperFlower ST4 ARGB is one of the newest air CPU coolers made by the power supply manufacturer, SuperFlower. This CPU cooler is made for the budget segment of the market, and it is not advertised for high TDP CPUs, and especially not advertised for CPU overclocking.

From a design perspective, the SuperFlower ST4 ARGB is a good-looking CPU cooler. The heatsink has an all-black design while the included 120mm fan features an addressable RGB front ring.

The SuperFlower ST4 ARGB has a height of 153mm a depth of 70mm and a width of 120mm with a weight of 500g.

The heatsink featured on the ST4 ARGB has a standard design, with an all-black paint present on everything from the cooling fins, the heatpipes and the top cover.

This heatsink uses 49 aluminum made cooling fins to dissipate the heat from the heatpipes. These cooling fins are shaped to allow the fan clips to mount onto their sides. This way, a simple yet effective fan mounting system is created.

This heatsink can accommodate up two 120mm fans in a push pull configuration.

The top of the ST4 ARGB has a removable plate that is thicker than the cooling fins. The main purpose of this plate is to cover the uneven heatpipe endings and to highlight the SuperFlower logo.
To remove this decorative plate, all you need to do is to unscrew the two Hex screws and the entire plate can be lifted.

The ST4 ARGB cooler has four copper heatpipes, each with the standard outer diameter of 6mm. These are arranged in the typical U shape to go around the cooling fins and make as much contact with them as possible.

The baseplate used on the ST4 ARGB is made from aluminum and copper. The copper part of the baseplate is in fact part of the heatpipes. This is the case because the ST4 ARGB uses a direct touch baseplate design. This means that the heatpipes are integrated into the surface of the baseplate.

This type of baseplate is often considered inferior to a solid baseplate, as the surface of the baseplate is not as even as it could be. Thus, the contact with the CPU surface is not as good as with a solid baseplate.

The active cooling is achieved with the help of a single 120mm fan, a variant of the SuperFlower NEON ARGB 12CM. This fan has the standard 120 x 120 x 25mm dimensions and a speed range of 800-1800RPM.

The fan has two connectors, one 4-Pin PWM for power and another 3-Pin for the ARGB LEDs. This results in two separate cables that you have to wire around your system, and these are not sleeved at all.

To dampen the vibration of the fan, each corner of the frame is equipped with purple rubber pads. These are thick and high quality, and the purple color adds more detail to the design of the CPU cooler.

The fan uses a ring of ARGB LEDs on the front of the frame, these will easily blend any color you desire. The functionality of the LEDs is limited to the software and RGB system used on the motherboard or the RGB controller.
