Testing
The following system was used to test the SSD and all competing SSDs:
– Processor: Intel i7 13700K @ 5.4GHz
– Motherboard: Biostar Z790 Valkyrie
– RAM: Neo Forza MDK5 DDR5 96GB 6000MHz
– Graphics Card: MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Suprim X
– SSD: NeoForza NFP075 2TB
– HDD: N/A
– PSU: Seasonic Prime TX-1000
– CPU Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240
– Case: be quiet! Silent Base 802 White
– OS: Windows 10 64-Bit (After April Update)
To test the SSD, the following software was used:
– ATTO Disk Benchmark,
– CrystalDiskMark 8,
– Shadow of the Tomb Raider;
– Windows File Copy.
In order to obtain a precise result each test was performed three times.

Temperature
Final thoughts
The Silicon Power US75 is an interesting M.2 SSD that offers a good performance even though it is not equipped with a DRAM chip to help its cache. What makes this SSD a good choice for both notebook usage and gaming consoles, apart from its single side PCB design is the temperature control. Even in a synthetic benchmark, the US75 did not break any records in terms of temperature, instead, it remained cool with no issues to be seen.
The highlight of this SSD has to be the performance, while not the best, especially when compared to more expensive M.2 SSDs, the US75 holds its own in all benchmarks, even without a DRAM chip to help things alone.
When it comes down to temperature, each SSD is different and the same can be said for its behavior as the temperature of an M.2 SSD is bound by the controller used and its thermal efficiency. In this case, the Silicon Power US75 1TB barely reached 54 degrees Celsius under a full load benchmark, which is great to see as this makes this SSD ideal for notebook usage and even gaming consoles.
The components of this SSD are of good quality, it uses a Maxio MAP1602 Controller which has been known to deliver a good performance. The YMTC memory chips perform well enough under pressure and will deliver a constant speed.
While the pricing is all over the place, the Silicon Power US75 1TB is a worthwhile choice for a budget system or gaming console. While its controller has a tendency to run hot, the SSD keeps its general temperature in check, and being a single side PCB Design means that this SSD will work great with notebooks as well.
In conclusion, the Silicon Power US 75 1TB is a good M.2 SSD that delivers on its promises. The advertised speed of 7000MB/s is easily achievable in all conditions and benchmarks, while the SSD remains cool no matter what. The main advantage of this SSD is its competitive price in most markets, especially for the 1TB model. The single side PCB design is also a neat feature that will make this SSD great to use in slim notebooks and gaming consoles.
