The DM4 EVO has a right-handed shape, with design elements that are reminiscent of the Logitech G403 design. The shape of the mouse is asymmetrical, the left side is taller than the right side and provides a better overall platform for your hand. The surface of the DM4 Evo is matte and is not rubberized.
The main buttons of the mouse use Huano blue switches, which have a rated life span of more than 20 million clicks.
The scroll wheel has a dual texture construction; the top and upper sides are covered by a rubber coating to increase the grip. The while portions are made from plastic that has a matte white texture, this is done to not only to allow for the light from the LEDs to shine through, but to provide an even spread of the colors.
The switch used for the click in the case of the scroll wheel is a Huano black switch, with a durability of just 3 million clicks.
Above the scroll wheel and in the middle of the mouse there are two buttons that cycle the profile and DPI values stored within the mouse memory. These buttons also use Huano made switches, the same Huano black switch used with the scroll wheel.
The left side of the mouse features two buttons that have a glossy texture. These buttons are by default mapped as “Forward” and “Backwards”. While all other buttons present on the DM4 Evo are using Huano made switches, these two are using a generic switch.
The right side is simple and is slightly raised towards the right of the mouse. This maintains the curvature of the shell and increases the comfort of the mouse.
The back side features the second RGB element present on the DM4 EVO, the Dream Machines emblem, which is RGB illuminated in tandem with the rest of the RGB elements present on this mouse.
The back of the mouse further enhances the asymmetrical shape of the DM4 EVO shell. The RGB emblem itself is not centered on the mouse.
The underside of the DM4 model uses four feet that are made from Teflon. The PMW 3389 optical sensor is placed in the center of the mouse and has a Teflon made frame that acts as a stabilizer pad for the mouse. In addition, on this side a switch is installed next to the optical sensor, this will turn On or OFF the RGB LEDs of the mouse.
The cable used on the DM4 EVO has a length of 1.8 meters and uses a standard gold-plated USB 2.0 connector. The cable is covered by a soft textile sleeving that has the same construction as a shoelace.
