Testing

The following system was used to test the fans:
– Processor: Intel i9 9900K @ 5 GHz
– Motherboard: ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming X
– RAM: Ballistix Tactical Tracer 16GB DDR4 @ 2666MHz
– GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Super Gaming X Trio
– SSD: Crucial MX500
– HDD: WD 1 TB Blue
– CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster MasterLiquid 240
– PSU: Seasonic Snow Silent 750W Platinum
– Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe
– Thermal compound: Noctua NT-H2

The testing of all fans is done with the i9 9900K CPU overclocked to 5GHz at maximum load with Intel Burn Test V2. All system fans and the tested fans are turned to their maximum speeds while the PC case has both side panels closed.

The 120mm fans has been tested using a 240mm CPU liquid cooler, the CoolerMaster MasterLiquid 240 at max. RPM.
The 140mm fans has been tested using a 280mm CPU liquid cooler, the NZXT Kraken X61 at max. RPM.

120mm Fan Performance

The noise level was measured at three different distances from the fans (10cm, 20cm, 30cm.) the noise was measured with a margin of error of ± 5 db.

Final thoughts

The In Win Sirius Loop ASL 120 is a fan that is available in either as a single fan or in a triple fan pack. The triple fan pack can be acquired for no more than 33 USD or EUR and have a manufacturer’s warranty of just 2 years.

The Sirius Loop ASL 120 model is not advertised to be dedicated for a specific task, such as high static pressure or airflow. These fans are referenced as an all-purpose type fan.
The build quality is very good, with good materials and flawless assembly. There are no manufacturing marks to be seen or uneven surfaces on the plastic texture.

In terms of design, the fans are certainly good looking and the addressable RGB system is done with taste. Although, this is where one of the main problems of the Sirius Loop relies, the RGB LEDs could have been brighter, especially since the narrow LED right is not offering a lot of surface for light and color diffusion and spread.
The performance while tested on a radiator is good, when considering that these fans are not designed for high static pressure.

In conclusion, the In Win Sirius Loop ASL 120 is a good all-purpose fan that will match any system it is installed. The build quality is very good, starting from the impellers and ending with the frame, RGB ring and the cables. The connectors that allow for daisy chaining the fans together, also increase the good value of these fans. The performance is adequate for a fan that does not benefit from a purpose designed impeller or frame.
