The DM2 Supreme is the new and improved version of the DM2 Comfy mouse. It features the same wide ergonomic shape and a matte rubberized texture. Other improvements include the usage of the PixArt PMW 3389 optical sensor and a lightweight shoelace style cable.
The shape of the mouse is asymmetrical, with the top left part of the shell sitting higher than the rest of the shell. In addition, the wider footprint of the mouse offers resting spots for all fingers, and thus, creates the ideal base for a palm grip.
The main click buttons use Huano made mechanical switches, the exact model uses a blue shell with a white plunger. These have an operating force of 70grams and have a life span of around 20 million click.
The scroll wheel is composed out of two parts: the inner side is made from transparent plastic, to allow the LED light and color to shine through. The top middle side is made from hard rubber, and features a soft linear pattern for added grip.
The switch used for the middle scroll wheel click is made by TTC, and the model of the switch uses a black casing with a white plunger. In addition, the encoder of the scroll wheel is also made by TTC.
As is the case with most if not all gaming mice available nowadays. The DPI switches are placed at the center of the mouse, right above the scroll wheel. These two buttons are flat and have a glossy texture, in addition they are also illuminated by the internal LEDs of the mouse.
The left side of the DM2 Supreme features two glossy buttons. These are by default mapped as the forward and backwards for most applications. Thanks to their glossy texture, these buttons are easy to recognize without looking at the mouse, as they create a good contrast with the matte rubberized texture of the mouse shell.
These buttons use a lever style system to connect the buttons to the actual mechanical switches. For reference, the mechanical switches are manufactured by the company called LJ.
The right side of the mouse is simple, with no buttons or graphics present. The main feature of this side is its shape, two bumps act as resting platforms for your fingers.
The back side of the DM2 Supreme is identical with that of the DM2 Comfy S. On this side, the Dream Machine logo is the only element installed, it is also illuminated by the internal LEDs of the mouse.
The underside of the DM2 Supreme uses a total of four Teflon made feet, and features a couple graphical elements. The label which contains the technical specifications of the mouse is placed on the upper side, while a glossy engraved “PGS” logo is placed on the lower side.
The cable used by this mouse has a length of 1.8 meters and is covered by a soft textile shoelace type sleeving. The connector is a standard USB 2.0 and has its surface gold plated for increased reliability.
