Riotoro Enigma G2 650W Gold

The following system was used to test the cooler:
– Processor: Intel i5 6600K @ 3.9 GHz and overclocked to 4.5 GHz
– Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty Z270 Professional Gaming i7
– RAM: Ballistix Tactical Tracer 16GB DDR4 @ 2666MHz
– GPU: GeForce GTX 1070 Founder’s Edition
– SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
– HDD: WD 1 TB Blue
– CPU Cooler: SilverStone Tundra TD02(Custom) with NoiseBlocker eLoop B12-PS
– Display: AOC i2769VM
– Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe White
– OS: Windows 10 64-bit

The above system has a power consumption of approximately 495W when in full load and 67W when idle, in order to test the efficiency of the Power Supply, the power draw of the system was measured at the wall socket. Also, the voltages were measured on the +12v +5v and +3.3v using a multi-meter.

To load the system to its maximum the stability test of the AIDA64 Extreme 5.98.4800 (9/19/2018) was used with Intel Burn Test V2.
The Power Supply was tested with the system both idle and at maximum load.

Power Supply efficiency

For rail voltage tolerance levels, ATX (Power Supply Design Guide) specify that a 5% variable fluctuation is acceptable.

Voltage oscillation idle

Voltage oscillation load

The noise level was measured at three different distances from the fans (10cm, 20cm, 30cm.) the noise was measured with a margin of error of ± 5 db.

Final thoughts

The Enigma G2 650W Gold is in fact, a rebranded Seasonic power supply from the Focus series. This is the case starting with the packaging, the outer casing, the accessory bundle, as well as the internal components.
In terms of performance, this being a Gold rated power supply, on average powering a system that uses more than 500W worth of power, the Enigma G2 had an efficiency of 89.2% at full load.
The power supply is silent, with a sound peak of 25 decibels measured at the standard 10 centimeters from the system. There is no bearing noise coming from the fan and the RPM curve is done in such a way that the RPM increase is not noticeable. There is also no coil whine, this is due to the usage of high-quality components and the usage of silicone to prevent any noise.
Another great feature that makes this power supply silent, is the three-phase Hybrid Silent fan control system. Once enabled, the power supply can function in passive mode until a certain load is reached.
In conclusion, the RIOTORO Engima G2 650W Gold is a very good power supply when it comes to performance and sound, thanks to the new Seasonic platform it uses. This unit also has features that increase the overall quality and user experience. Features such as the all black modular cables, and the passive Hybrid Silent fan control system.
