The following system was used to test the fans:
– Processor: Intel i5 6600K @ 3.9GHz
– Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty Z270 Professional Gaming i7
– Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Founder’s Edition
– SSD: Crucial MX 500GB
– HDD: WD 1TB Blue
– PSU: Seasonic Snow Silent 750W Platinum
– CPU Cooler: SilverStone Tundra TD-2 E
– Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe
– OS: Windows 10 64-Bit (After April Update)
The 120mm fans has been tested using a 240mm CPU liquid cooler, the SilverStone TD02-E at max. RPM.
The 140mm fans has been tested using a 280mm CPU liquid cooler, the NZXT Kraken X61 at max. RPM.
The noise level was measured at three different distances from the fans (10cm, 20cm, 30cm.) the noise was measured with a margin of error of ± 5 db.
The AZZA Hurricane II Digital RGB utilizes the new RGB addressable LED system, which allows for more customization options and more color combinations. The second version of the Hurricane model, is using a Hydro Bearing system that offers a longer lifespan. While the frame is double layered to enhance the lighting generated by the LEDs.
The illumination system does its job, the fan has multiple predefined color modes, but can be controlled through the motherboard, if it is equipped with the 3-Pin RGB header.
The overall performance of the fan is average, the blade and frame are not designed to reduce air turbulences or to increase the airflow. For the most part, the design of the fan is made around the enhancement of the RGB illumination.
In conclusion, with a price of approximately 15 US Dollars or EUR, the AZZA Hurricane II Digital RGB is an affordable fan that uses the new addressable LED system for illumination, and provides a 3-Pin RGB splitter. The performance of the fan makes it suited as an exhaust case fan, as the low static pressure will not suit a heatsink or radiator.
