The ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 9 is a reasonably priced motherboard for the 9th generation of Intel processors. A motherboard that contrary to its name is focused more on performance, quality and connectivity than on gaming. The VRM system uses high quality components for the most part and has a 10+2+1+1 phase configuration.
The capacitors used are made by Nichicon and are part of the 12K Series. The MOSFETs that are part of the VRM are made by Texas Instruments.
The features integrated in the motherboard are what makes the Phantom Gaming 9 model a good value product, not many motherboards will offer three network ports with two different network cards integrated, while also having three SATA M.2 slots for high speed SSDs.
In conclusion, the ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 9 offers a good package in terms of build quality, features and performance. The design of the motherboard is based on the color scheme of the Phantom Gaming line and the shape of the heatsinks. Their shape is similar with the heatsinks used on the Z390 Taichi model.
The ASRock Phantom Gaming 9 can be found at around 294 Eur or 269 US Dollars, with a standard two-year warranty from the manufacturer.
