Visual inspection

The S10 model has a unique and imposing look, the case measuring 602mm in height and having a weight of approximately 18kg. The side panels are made out of brushed aluminum, the interior is metal and the top and front side are made out of hard plastic

The front side is simple, made out of high quality plastic. On the lower part, we find the manufacturer’s logo; this emblem is chromed for an elegant look.

On the backside of the case we have a included 120mm fan, below we have the 10 expansion slots and on the bottom we have the space for the Power Supply.

The four side panels are made entirely out of brushed aluminum, these panels are using hinges to open and close, they can be removed.

The side panels are held closed with the help of magnetic strips. To open the panels the “DOOR” button must be pressed, the button is located in the middle of the case on both sides.

The base of the chassis uses an angular design and is made out of plastic. The shape of the base also adds to the overall leaning & angular design of the chassis.

The top part of the case utilizes a circular pattern, being made out of plastic, towards the front of the chassis is begins to slope downwards.

The I/O panel is placed on the top part of the case, this panel is composed of the following:
–    4x USB 3.0 ports
–    2x Audio Jacks
–    1x Power Button
–    1x Power LED
–    1x HDD Activity LED

Above the I/O panel, we find a 5.25″ drive bay that accommodate short devices such as a fan controller, unfortunately an Optical Drive will not fit due to its length.

The main feature of the Signature S10 model is the interior separation for a better cooling. The system being separated from the frontal portion of the chassis where the storage devices are installed.

Between the main sections is a gap that is approximately 18mm wide, due to this space the system gets a better airflow, also in this gap we find installed the main dust filter.
The filter can be accessed by pressing the button on its lower side.

The inside of the case is spacious; also, the case comes with seven fans pre-installed, six of them being mounted in the main section.

With the pre-installed fans, the case can accommodate Graphics Cards with a maximum length of 36 cm.

The fans are installed on a detachable bracket thus being easier to install. In the main section, we find three 120mm intake fans while for exhaust we have on the top two 140mm fans and a single 120mm fan on the backside.

The Power Supply is installed on the lower compartment; it is mounted on two foam beams. The dust filter for the PSU can be removed from behind the case.

The case can accommodate Power Supplies that are up to 27 cm in length.

In the lower compartment, we find a dedicated 2.5″ drive cage capable of holding up to 5 storage units.

Still in the inferior compartment, we find a detachable bracket for an optional 120mm intake fan, which improves the cooling for the 2.5″ storage units mounted in this compartment.

The frontal section of the case is dedicated to the storage devices being capable of holding up to 6(six) 3.5” storage devices and 3(three) 2.5” devices.

The cooling of the frontal section is done using a single 120mm exhaust fan situated on the floor of the case, the fan is mounted on a detachable bracket.

On the top part of the front section, we find a preinstalled dust filter that can be removed from the side.

Behind the motherboard tray we find installed a fan hub, which can power up to 10 fans. In addition, the motherboard tray has plenty tie-down points for wire-management, which is also supported by the generous space between the side panel & the motherboard tray, the space measuring 2.5 cm.

The following system was used to test the case:
–    Processor: Intel i5 4690K @ 3.9 GHz
–    Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 9 ACK
–    RAM: 8GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical
–    GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 660 OC Gaming
–    SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
–    HDD: Samsung SpinPoint F3 500GB
–    PSU: Antec Edge 550W Gold
–    Display: AOC i2769VM

The mounting system for the storage units is completely Tool-Less. In addition, the storage devices are installed vertically.
In the case of the 3.5” devices, these install into plastic brackets.

The only inconvenient in the case of wire-management is a metal beam installed on the lower part of the case. The cables must be routed in the front of the beam; otherwise, the side panel cannot be closed.

The noise level for the 7 fans included was measured at three different distances from the case (10cm, 20cm, 30cm.) the noise was measured with a margin of error of ± 5 db.

Final thoughts

The Signature S10 model stands up from the crowd through its unique & innovative design, the build quality and the materials used are good. The performance of the case is excellent thanks to the 7 included fans and the separated interior chamber layout.
The case has a very good & solid construction due to the materials used: metal and brushed aluminum for the four side panels and metal for the frame.
To improve the case the following changes can be made:
The rubber grommets covering the wire-management spaces/holes must be fixed better to the case, the grommets being too easy to remove during the installation process.
The metal beam installed at the back, on the lower part of the case requires some small adjustments in order to offer more options of routing cables.
In conclusion, the Signature S10 model is a good case with a unique design and ample space for any type of system, offering adequate cooling from the factory thanks to the seven included fans and fan hub, the case also has a good potential for a complex watercooling system.
